WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- The newest member of the Brookland-Cayce High School Educator Hall of Fame will be inducted next month.
Barbara Jeter Jeffcoat will be honored at the annual gala, set for February 7 at Seawell’s at the S.C. State Fairgrounds in Columbia.
Jeffcoat joined Brookland-Cayce High in 1973 as an energetic special needs resource teacher. Two years later, she brought that same energy to the Guidance Department, where she would serve as a counselor and director until her retirement in 2002. Jeffcoat today lives in West Columbia with her husband, Steve.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour and silent auction, followed by the induction ceremony at 7. Tickets are $25 per person, $350 for a corporate-sponsored table of eight.
The Brookland-Cayce High School Foundation supports the school’s students through scholarships and other activities.
