New faces, new roles in school and district level administration

WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- The Lexington Two Board of Trustees has approved new school-level administrators for the 2025-2026 school year.

 

SCHOOL-LEVEL ADMINISTRATORS

 

Principals/Directors

 

Linda Bundrick Brown, Interim, Pine Ridge Middle School

Linda Bundrick Brown has 50-plus years in education. She worked for Lexington Two for 30 years before her official retirement, then returned to Brookland-Cayce High School, where she most recently served as anmattendance/truancy interventionist. Prior to that, she served at Brookland-Cayce as an English teacher, guidance counselor, coach, Dean of Girls and senior class advisor, among many roles. She also was an Assistant Principal at Brookland-Cayce High as well as at Pine Ridge Middle School. Prior to returning home to join Lexington Two, she worked at Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana.

 

Alicia Dickerson, Interim, Busbee Creative Arts Academy

Alicia Dickerson is an experienced educator with more than 25 years in Lexington Two. She most recently served as Assistant Principal of Instruction at Brookland-Cayce High, where she also was an assistant principal. Prior to that, she was an English teacher at Brookland-Cayce, Northside Middle School, Airport High School, and Lexington 1’s Gilbert High School. She has a bachelor’s degree from Newberry College, a master’s from Capella University, and is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at Gardner-Webb University. 

 

Dr. Karen Holloman, Riverbank Elementary School

Dr. Karen Holloman most recently served as Principal at Pine Ridge Middle School and, before that, as an Assistant Principal at Riverbank Elementary School and the former Pineview Elementary School. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Principal at Bishopville Primary School and band director at Mount Pleasant Middle/Dennis Intermediate School in Lee County Schools. She started her education career in 2001 as a choir, music and drama teacher at Swansea High School in Lexington Four. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, a master’s degree from Jones International, and a doctorate from Liberty University.  

 

Alexis King, Adult Education

Alexis King comes to the Director role after most recently serving as the district’s Coordinator of Early College and Dual Enrollment Programs.  She began her career in education in 2004 at Richland 1’s Columbia High School, serving as a science teacher and as Director of the Academy of Biomedical Sciences. She later was an Assistant Principal of Instruction (API) at Airport High School, an Assistant Principal at Wilson High School in Florence 1, and Principal at Edisto High School in the Orangeburg County School District.  She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Carolina.

 

Schiria Wilson, Director of the Lexington Two Innovation Center

Schiria Wilson is a leader with more than two decades of experience in education, criminal justice, and workforce development. She most recently served in Richland 2 as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) administrator and Work-Based Learning coordinator at Spring Valley High School. Under her leadership, the school’s CTE completion rate has more than doubled, and its College and Career Readiness (CCR) rating rose from “Good” to “Excellent.” She previously served as a secondary administrator at Spring Valley, a work-based learning coordinator at Westwood High School, and a certified CTE instructor at Blythewood High School. She also was an assistant professor of criminal justice at Claflin University. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Carolina and M.Ed. from Southern Wesleyan University.

 

Assistant and Associate Principals/Assistant Directors

 

Tiffany Aull, Lexington Two Innovation Center

Tiffany Aull joins the Innovation Center as Assistant Director after serving in a number of roles at Brookland-Cayce High School, most recently as an Assistant Principal. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Administrator and a business teacher and GradPoint business teacher, both at Brookland-Cayce, and served as a business teacher at Airport High School for nearly five years before that. She first joined Lexington Two in 2003 as Director of Extended Day Care Programs. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, MBA from Southern Wesleyan University, and M.Ed. from Capella University.

 

Lakeisha Gardner, Brookland-Cayce High School

Lakeisha Gardner most recently served as an Assistant Administrator and ELA teacher at Northside Middle School. Prior to that, she was a social studies teacher at Brookland-Cayce High School and a history teacher at Eau Claire High School in Richland 1. She has a bachelor’s degree from Mount Olive College and a master’s from Grand Canyon University.

 

Nick Gillcrese, New Bridge Academy

Nick Gillcrese is assisting in a new capacity at New Bridge Academy as Associate Principal/Elementary. Prior to that, he served as Principal at Riverbank Elementary and Assistant Principal at Lake Carolina Elementary and Sandlapper Elementary in Richland 2. Gillcrese started his education career in Lexington-Richland 5 as a third-grade teacher, first at Ballentine Elementary School and then at Oak Pointe Elementary School, where he was named Teacher of the Year in 2014-2015. He later served as Administrative Assistant at Oak Pointe. He has a bachelor’s degree from Benedict College and a master’s degree and master’s in education in administration and supervision, both from Southern Wesleyan University.

 

Amy Rankin, Brookland-Cayce High School

Amy Rankin most recently served as an Assistant Administrator and math teacher at Pine Ridge Middle School. Prior to that, she was a math teacher at Pelion Middle School in Lexington 1. She has a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University and a master’s from Arkansas State University.

 

Other school-level administrators approved by the board for the upcoming school year and previously announced include Louis Clyburn, athletic director and football coach, Brookland-Cayce High School, and Chris Napier, athletic director and football coach, Airport High School. 

 

DISTRICT-LEVEL ADMINISTRATORS

 

Dr. Wendy Crotwell, Coordinator of MTSS/Early Literacy

Dr. Wendy Crotwell joins Lexington Two as Coordinator of MTSS/Early Literacy, after serving most recently as MTSS District Specialist for Elementary Schools in Richland 2.  Prior to that, Dr. Crotwell was an adjunct faculty member, Early Childhood/Elementary Supervisor at the University of South Carolina; a literacy coach for K-5 Carolina Springs Elementary School and a second grade teacher at Lake Murray Elementary School and Saxe Gotha Elementary School in Lexington 1; and started as a special education teacher (ED/LD) at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School in Lexington 3. She has a bachelor’s degree from Newberry College, master’s from Columbia College and Ed.D. from Walden University. 

 

Dr. Tammy Small, Coordinator for Staffing, Credentialing and Alternative Programs

Dr. Tammy Small is an accomplished educational leader with over 20 years of experience in education, specializing in staffing, credentialing, and alternative certification programs. Prior to joining Lexington Two, she served as the Coordinator of Teacher Quality in Richland 1. In that role, she successfully led Project RISE, an alternative certification support program that achieved an above-average Praxis passage rate, helping educators obtain certification while managing key HR functions  including tracking certified vacancies, onboarding virtual teachers, and serving as a liaison for certified personnel. Prior to that, she served with Kershaw County Schools as Assistant Principal at Pine Tree Hill Elementary and Lugoff-Elgin Middle School. She also taught at three other middle schools in Lower Richland, Sumter County, and Benton, Louisiana. She has been an active leader in SCAMLE, serving as conference chair for 2024 and co-chair from 2020-2023. She has a bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame College, master’s from Wilmington University, and Ed.D. from Liberty University.

 

Stephen Taylor, Director of Purchasing

Stephen Taylor is the district’s purchasing director, following roles most recently as Procurement Manager I and II with the SC State Fiscal Accountability Authority. Prior to that, he was a Procurement Manager,  IT Auditor/Information Resource Consultant, and Summer Food Service Program Auditor (AppleOne Employment Services) with the SC Department of Social Services, and a Junior Contract Specialist with the Transportation Security Administration (Millennium Corporation). He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and master’s from The Citadel.
