Lexington Two Board approves salary increase to $50,000 for first-year teachers

WEST COLUMBIA, SC – On June 20, the Lexington School District Two Board of Trustees gave final approval to the district’s 2024-2025 budget.

The budget includes a $50,000 starting salary for first-year teachers, as well as increases for every other teacher and district employee.

“There are few things more important than the education of our future generations, and valuing the contributions of every employee who plays a role in that process every day is so very important,” said Superintendent Dr. Brenda Hafner.  “We are grateful for the unwavering support of children and education from our Lexington Two board, families and employees, community residents and businesses, and many other partners and organizations.”
