All Lexington Two teachers receiving salary increase

WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Lexington Two’s Board of Trustees has approved a salary increase for teachers at all levels of experience for the 2022-2023 school year.

All of the district’s teachers will receive a base salary increase of $2,327, plus their annual STEP increase (roughly another 2 percent).  That means for first-year teachers, for example, the new base salary is $41,500, up from $39,173. It also is higher than the state minimum of roughly $40,000.

Salaries for staff positions have been increased and salary scales updated as well, following results of a compensation study of all district positions to ensure appropriate and competitive pay.

Lexington Two is offering a $2,500 signing bonus for new teacher hires in identified critical needs areas of special education, foreign language, and middle and high school English, math, science and social studies.
